Oregon's wine industry is primarily concentrated in the Willamette Valley, which is widely recognized for producing exceptional Pinot Noir. This grape variety constitutes the majority of Oregon’s wine production. In addition to Pinot Noir, the state produces other notable wines including Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling, and various sparkling wines. Oregon wines are distinguished by their fresh acidity and fruit-forward profiles, with notes of cherry and raspberry, offering a balanced style that bridges Burgundy and California Pinot Noirs.
The distinctive soils and climate of the Willamette Valley contribute to wines with unique character, drawing comparisons to select French counterparts.
