Opening with an inviting nose of pineapple, kiwi, and fresh-cut grass layered with hints of hay, muscat florals, and a touch of piña colada. On the palate, it bursts with energetic flavors of juniper berry, lime zest, and lemon-lime, offering a bright, zippy profile that’s both refreshing and true to varietal.
100% Vidiano, a variety that when vinified carefully offers peach and appricot aromas well knitted with layers of fresh herbs and subtle minerality. Early morning hand harvest and grape sorting. Cooling down grapes in refrigerators. Destemming Pneumatic press follows and pressing in low temeratures. Vinification with selected yiest at 16 – 17 C in stainless steel Tanks. In contact for 2 months with its lees.
Elegance, drinkability and fruit are the focus while tannin, power and spice remain satisfied in supporting roles. Wild cherries, dark plums and a light touch of mocha and coffee. Full-bodied with grippy, chewy tannins and lots of bright blueberries and roasted herbs. Intense ruby red with garnet red tinges. A rich, lingering bouquet with intense notes of fruit preserves and hints of grass. The palate is velvety and mouthfilling, balanced by supporting acidity with excellent length.
Sourced from a number of old vineyards in the Riverland and McLaren Vale, some of which are dry grown bush vines. All vineyards are vinified in small batches, separately. Wild ferments, whole bunch inclusion, larger oak and no filtration or fining help define the delicious, energetic character of the wine.Aromatic and lifted on the nose with a beautifully layered, textural palate with wild strawberry and spice.
